This day in history - 18:04:1249.4

18:04:1249.4 On this day a small baby boy was left on the doorstep of St. Helpman’s brephotorium. It was a crumbling institution located in the sixth circle of Castle Gurdendorf and took in the unwanted and lost children of the city. This unremarkable baby spent its first years being handed from wet nurse to wet nurse and then on to a series of minders, some crueler, some kinder but all faceless and ever changing. In those early days the young lad was merely known as Sprog 234 Yellow and basically responded to the calls of ‘Oi You.’ It was only when the boy learnt of the larger outside world, after scaling the walls to sample the forbidden delights outside St. Helpman’s, that he picked up a phrase that would forever define who he was. ‘ello Squire,’ became his calling card and soon everyone in the orphanage started to call him the same. Eventually aged fourteen, ‘Squires’ scaled the walls of the institution that had raised him and disappeared into the criminal underworld of the castle. An unremarkable orphan who would go onto scale the heights of society and rock the nobility of the world - usually by nicking something.
