This day in history - 30.08.1259.4
30.08.1259.4 Emanuel G. Boden patented the Steam Powered Mousetrap, a device so lethal in its design that it was banned by the Department of War as a danger to humanity. Fifty five years later the device was unearthed in a shed by Professor Helmut Stump. It became an inspiration to him, leading him to invent several steam powered machines. To date, the Steam Powered Mousetrap has caught zero mice, although twelve men have lost their lives and nine retired on disability pensions.
