This day in history - 06:11:894.4
06:11:894.4 On this day Sculptor Michael de Angles unveiled his finest work ‘Keith’. A larger than life-size representation of man in his perfect form. Critics have marvelled over the piece for centuries. Some talk of his masculine jaw, while others talk of his posture but all agree about the strange squint on his face. After a lengthy investigation by by the famous art historian, Filiophous Baldernucci, it is now believed the model who posed for the sculpture was suffering from a bad case of piles. A post script appeared sometime around 1089, chiselled into the base. It read ‘The suffering of man, represented in all its unnecessary detail.’
