This day in history - 04.10.1219.4
04.10.1219.4 On this day Gaston Emerad, Professor of Deep Thinking and Court Wizard to the Court of the Forth Dynasty, discovered electricity, or as he called it Élan plus vital. During a thunderstorm he stood in a bucket of water on a hill waving a copper rod above his head. Gaston was born in 1163 and died that very night during the thunderstorm. People said he had a very surprised look on his face when he was found. Officially, the death of Gaston was put down to dark magic or possibly intervention by one or more of the gods who can get pretty nasty when you try to muscle in on their turf.
